My name is Amanda Hartmann and I currently live in the St. Louis, MO area. Over the course of my life I have lived in ten states and three countries. I love seeing how other people live and experience life and moving about has allowed me the opportunity to engage with families from all walks of life.

As a photographer, I prefer a long form narrative; a preference that is driven by my curiosity to understand people and celebrate each person’s authentic self. Whether focusing on a non profit organization, event or business, ultimately my photographic interest always returns back to the human condition and individuality.

I believe that photos help us retain memory and successful ones make the viewer feel something, provoke emotion, ultimately having a lasting impact that can take someone back to the moment and relive the memory.

I am most interested in covering stories and events along life themes that are often overlooked, not spoken about, or taken for granted.

I am available for assignment locally in the St. Louis vicinity.
